Alvarado at night and a cold one at last.
Something different comes out, something deeper than glass.
And it can’t be too hard,
No it can’t be too hard to try again.

In an espresso bar, we will order for hereimg_54ad80ef09dc9
And a table outside gives your smoke open air.
Someone brought his guitar
And he strums ragged chords to try again.

But who placed on the shelf where our steps surely led
A new Bible untouched by the hand or the head.
And it can’t be too hard,
No it can’t be too hard to try again.
You said, “See how they try to pretend nothing’s fresh.
All the same they’re in coats, castigating the flesh.
And the cold asks of them,
Will defense speed the steps?” I won’t guess.
