Elena Fedorovich

Elena Fedorovich is a professor and doctor of pedagogical sciences. She is a graduate of the Ural Mussorgsky State Conservatoire (piano, 1985). She has headed the department of theory, music history and musical instruments at Ural State Pedagogical University and as Pro-rector for Research at Ural Mussorgsky State Conservatoire. Her present focus includes book projects on the great pianist Emil Gilels. She is the author of more than 100 scholarly and methodological works, including books on remarkable pianists and the Russian piano school, as well as instructional texts on the history of music education and the psychology of musical activity.
