Irina Dudina
Irina Viktorovna Dudina is a St. Petersburg journalist, artist and writer. She is a member of the Artists Union of St. Petersburg and the Writers Union of St. Petersburg. Born in Leningrad, graduated from the philosophy department of Leningrad State University, taught, worked as a journalist in the magazines “Na Nevskom,” published as a journalist and poet in the newspapers “Smena,” “Chas pik”, “Literaturnaya gazeta” and others, in the magazines “Zinziver,” “Aurora,” “Krasny,” “NOMI,” “Khuligan,” “Studenchesky meridian” and others, and in anthologies of philosophy. She served as editor-in-chief of the magazines “Bohemian Petersburg” and “BOLT,” and is currently deputy chairman of the graphics section of thre Artists Union. She is the author of more than ten books of prose, poetry, journalism (“Birdsong in a Prone Position,” “Hemoglobin,” “Charismapad,” “Tender and Broken,” “Rust,” “Tales of Nevsky Prospect,” “Flowers of Evil on Russian Soil”), as well as the compiler of an anthology of poems (about 500) dedicated to Vasilievsky Island. She is the creator of a new genre in the visual arts — political carpets, with about 200 personal exhibitions in Russia, Estonia, Finland, Germany. Her works are in private collections and museums (Tsarskoye Selo Collection, Konstantinovsky Palace). She is a publisher and editor of books of poetry, prose and local history.
